Netflix and hoichoi, a Bengali-first streaming platform and content studio, announced a partnership that will bring hoichoi series to Netflix viewers across India in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. Netflix said Oct. 22, 2026, that all hoichoi series premiering in the next two years will be available on its service in those languages, exclusively on Netflix.

Netflix described the arrangement as a first of its kind. It said the partnership brings acclaimed series, new premieres, adaptations and fresh original stories to audiences in India.

The collection of existing hoichoi shows on Netflix will feature 14 titles, according to the announcement. Those named include Madam Inspector, Sampurna, Lajja, Eken Sirji, Anjaan Saaye, The Curse of Parnashavari, Bloodlines and Queens. Netflix said the shows span crime thrillers, detective mysteries, folklore horror, social and courtroom dramas, and romance.

New hoichoi releases will also arrive on Netflix in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu alongside their Bengali debut on hoichoi. The first is The Cursed Temple of Kauriburi, a folklore horror series starring Jeetu Kamal, Solanki Roy and Paoli Dam. It premieres Nov. 6, and Netflix said more titles will follow in the coming months.

The two platforms will also work together on original series produced by hoichoi studios. These series will reimagine select hoichoi stories, and Netflix said each adaptation will bring fresh creative voices and perspectives. Netflix said further details will be announced soon.

Netflix said it continues to add licensed content, including third-party stories, alongside its own originals. It said its global audience is approaching one billion people.
