Netflix confirmed a new K-pop girl group audition series called We Go High and opened applications for high school students, according to an announcement dated Oct. 25, 2026.
According to Netflix, the project comes from Netflix Korea and is set at an arts high school, where students major in their dreams. Students representing top arts high schools across Korea will compete against rivals while building the chemistry needed to become a group. Netflix said the project is expected to broaden K-pop’s global fandom and produce a girl group chosen through the eyes of the world.
Applications are open to first- and second-year high school students at schools with arts and entertainment-related programs. Students who are set to enter such schools in 2027 may also apply. Netflix said full application details are available on Netflix Korea’s official social media channels.
Park Jin-kyung and Lee Jae-seok of the production company Monsterahaus direct and produce the series. Netflix described them as top entertainment producers known for bold, distinctive concepts in reality television.
Netflix also said it has signed a memorandum of understanding with SM C&C. A memorandum of understanding is a written agreement between two parties to work together. Netflix said the deal covers mutual collaboration to support the growth and activities of the girl group formed through the series, beyond its debut.
The announcement did not give a premiere date, an application deadline, the number of contestants or how the final group will be chosen. It also did not describe the terms of the agreement with SM C&C.
