Sony: GTA VI PS5 pre-download starts Nov. 10, needs 212GB
Sony Interactive Entertainment on Tuesday said pre-download for Grand Theft Auto VI will begin November 10 on PlayStation 5 ahead of the game’s November 19 launch. The company detailed the timing and setup steps in a post on the PlayStation Blog.
Sony Interactive Entertainment said those who pre-order can begin downloading at local midnight on November 10. The company said players should clear a minimum of 212GB of storage space on PS5 to prepare.
The company said pre-orders are open on the PlayStation Store and at participating retailers. It said the Grand Theft Auto VI: Ultimate Edition includes “an exclusive collection of premium vehicles, weapons, apparel, and action threaded across all aspects of Jason and Lucia’s story.” The post directed readers to the PlayStation Store product page for available editions, pricing, and additional details.
Sony Interactive Entertainment outlined steps to prepare for launch, including setting up or checking PlayStation account details in advance. It also pointed players to options to expand PS5 storage. The post noted that downloading ahead of release means players will be ready to start when the game goes live.
The company highlighted optional accessories for personalization, including the DualSense Edge wireless controller, PlayStation Pulse wireless headset, and Pulse Elevate Wireless speakers. Sony Interactive Entertainment said it will share more information on Grand Theft Auto VI as the November 19 release approaches.
