Sony Interactive Entertainment announced the Prism Collection on Oct. 28, a line of transparent DualSense wireless controllers and PS5 console covers. The collection comes in three colors: Flare Orange, Emerald Green and Graphite Gray.

The announcement was posted on the PlayStation Blog in a version for Southeast Asia. The company said the collection launches starting Feb. 4, 2027, and that the exact launch date and availability may vary by country or region.

According to the company, the DualSense controllers will be available globally. The recommended retail price is SGD 115, MYR 419, THB 2,890, IDR 1,549,000, PHP 5,699 or VND 2,399,000, depending on the market.

The matching PS5 console covers will be sold in limited quantities through select retailers. Their recommended prices are SGD 101, MYR 369, THB 2,590, IDR 1,359,000, PHP 5,099 and VND 2,099,000. The company said actual retailer prices and availability may vary.

The post was written by Isabelle Tomatis, vice president of global marketing at Sony Interactive Entertainment. She wrote that the collection grew out of the design teams’ interest in giving PS5 a transparent look and showing players more of the design and craftsmanship inside the controllers and consoles. The company said each color has a glossy finish.

Two members of the company’s Color, Material, and Finish design team, Leo Cardoso and Satoshi Aoyagi, described the design process in the post. Cardoso said the team wanted to bring back the see-through look of the late 1990s in a modern way that fits the PS5’s industrial design. He said fans had been looking forward to “the return of transparent controllers.”

Aoyagi said the clear, glossy finish extends across the back of the controller. He said this shows the technology that powers the DualSense while keeping a monochromatic look. He added that a metallic finish on the middle cover ties the surfaces together.

Aoyagi also described the three colors. He said the orange takes on a rosy tone where the transparent material overlaps. He said the green is a deep hunter green that gains depth through its transparency, and the gray is a cool-toned storm gray.

The post did not list country-by-country launch dates.
