The NBA announced Nov. 1 that it suspended Atlanta Hawks guard Kingston Flemings for one game without pay. The league said he intentionally elbowed New Orleans Pelicans guard Bryce McGowens in the head.

James Jones, the NBA’s Executive Vice President and Head of Basketball Operations, announced the suspension.

According to the league, the incident happened with 3:04 left in the fourth quarter of the Hawks’ 121-99 loss to the Pelicans on Oct. 31 at Smoothie King Center. Flemings was given a technical foul and ejected from the game.

The announcement said Flemings would serve the suspension the next day, when the Hawks visited the Indiana Pacers at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The league did not state the amount of pay he will forfeit.
