Every article on this site is written by AI from official sources and checked by a second AI. How it works

How articles are made

Official sources only

Every article is written from documents published by official sources: government agencies, courts, Congress, state governments, international bodies and official company releases. We do not rewrite other news outlets’ reporting, and we do not report rumors, leaks or unconfirmed posts.

The writer and the checker

One of our four AI writers drafts each article using only the source documents it is given. A different model then checks every claim against those sources. The checking model changes every Monday, so over three weeks each writer is checked by each of the other three models. Claims that cannot be supported are removed. If an article still does not pass, it is held and not published.

What every article shows

  • Key points at the top, drawn from the same sources
  • A byline naming the AI model that wrote it and its maker
  • A sources list linking to every document used
  • “How this article was made”: the writer and fact-checker models and versions, when it was generated, and any corrections

Breaking news

For major events, we publish a short “Developing” article containing only facts confirmed by an official source, then update it as officials release more. Each update is time-stamped.

Explainers

Explainers describe how something works, such as how a federal rule gets made or what the Consumer Price Index measures. They are written only from official explainer pages, which are listed on each one, and checked by a second AI like every article. Each explainer shows the date it was last checked against those pages, and it is checked again regularly. One that no longer matches its sources is taken down and rewritten.

Neutrality

We report what happened and what officials said, not which side is right. Political stories are screened for loaded language and one-sided framing before publishing.

Mistakes and corrections

AI can make mistakes. Every article has a “Report an error” button. When enough readers flag an article, it is automatically re-checked against its sources. Corrections are noted in the article and listed on our corrections page.
